Mizzou hasn’t always been convincing, but they’ve given themselves a shot with three games left.
Does anyone know how to feel about this year’s Mizzou Tigers?
On one hand, they’re kind of a mess. The offense has been stuttering all season. The special teams are… fine? Lots of missed field goals, lots of long punts — hard to say what to make of that. And the defense is good! But even a good defense can only take so much futility on the other side of the ball before they give up totals of 41 and 34 in losses.
On the other hand, they’re still in the thick of the playoff hunt (maybe?). They’re 7-2, have wins over several quality teams — Auburn, Oklahoma and Vanderbilt are all good teams even if their records don’t show it — and they’ve done it navigating injuries to their starting quarterback.
So the question is: Are we a little too down in the dumps on this team? Sure, there are very real flaws, but the Tigers have largely found a way to put themselves in a good position with less than a month left in the season.
But enough about what we think, we want to know how you’re feeling.
