Brady Cook changed the game against Auburn. For that, he’s the unanimous MVP.
Welcome to the MV3, a weekly piece where Rock M Nation’s staff votes on the three most impactful players in Mizzou’s previous game.
1. Brady Cook

I don’t need to justify our pick here. Mizzou does not win this game without Brady Cook, plain and simple. You know it. I know it. Period.
2. Daylan Carnell

You know who Daylan Carnell reminds me a lot of? Kentrell Brothers. Not in playing style, obviously, but in the way that he’s just been a consistently excellent on Mizzou’s defense for what feels like forever. Carnell is a good tackler, a good coverage man, a great leader and a producer in the game’s biggest moments. Six tackles, a half tackle for loss and a pass breakup is a ho-hum day for Carnell, but each of those stats came in big moments. Such is the way with the junior from Indianapolis.
3. Mookie Cooper

I remember when Mookie Cooper joined the Mizzou program. It felt like a turning point. A five-star athlete coming home from a blue blood program? Cooper was supposed to change Mizzou’s offense, a bananas athletic swiss army knife who would turn defenses inside out. Of course, Cooper had a few injuries to overcome and then fell into the shadow of Luther Burden and Theo Wease, but has Mizzou ever had a better third option? Cooper is like Barrett Bannister on Michael’s Secret Stuff from Space Jam. And when the Tigers desperately needed a big play to put them squarely back into the game, Mookie Cooper was there. I’m going to miss him so much next year.
Others receiving votes: Eddie Kelly, Jr., MU Health Care, Zion Young
