What’s funny about the Mizzou-Auburn series is there just haven’t been many games between the two, even with them being conference mates. The teams have played just three times since Missouri joined the SEC, and each time things have gone poorly for our Tigers.

There’s the SEC Championship game in 2013, where things were close until they weren’t. Then there was Auburn catching Mizzou at the right time in 2017. Missouri was awful in the first 6 games, and pretty great in the final six, but a 51-14 loss still smarts. Then in 2022, Missouri travelled to the plains for the first time and looked like they were going to win the game when fate intervened. That’s 0-for-3, with the only win in 1973.

So yes, a win would be nice. Especially since it’s Homecoming!
