One last win for the seniors!
If I’m being honest, I don’t like that this game got bumped to Saturday. I liked the Friday slot. It was nice to have Thanksgiving, have the game the next day, and then have the weekend. But, for whatever reason the SEC Network gods opted to move this game back to Saturday. So here we are.
If the Mizzou-Arkansas ‘Battle Line’ rivalry sponsored by Shelter Insurance feels a bit manufactured, it’s really because it is. Prior to Missouri joining the SEC the two programs had played just five games against each other, despite the proximity. And two of those games were in Bowls in 2003 and 2008. Before the 2003 Independence Bowl, Mizzou-Arkansas had played just three times and the most recent was in 1968.
But in an effort to create some more rivalries we got this one, and it’s blossomed a bit! The Tigers are 8-2 in the series, which is good. But remember that Arkansas has just been down, is the only problem. For the full preview on the Hogs, read Nate’s Preview. Or watch the last BTBS on YouTube:
