Mizzou has been pegged to land in the Las Vegas or Music City Bowl these last few weeks, but the Gator Bowl is picking up some steam.
Following a 39-20 win over Mississippi State last week, the Missouri Tigers improved to 8-3 (4-3 SEC) to keep hopes alive for back-to-back 10-win seasons.
Mizzou also comes in at No. 21 in the latest College Football rankings, jumping two spots from last week.

Heading into Saturday’s Senior Day vs Arkansas, Missouri will look for their best bowl assignment possible with a win over the Razorbacks.
Here’s a look at the latest bowl projections for Mizzou as we enter the final weekend of the regular season.
ESPN: Bonagura — Las Vegas Bowl vs USC; Schlabach — TaxSlayer Gator Bowl vs Louisville
CBS: Music City Bowl vs Michigan
Action Network: TaxSlayer Gator Bowl vs Louisville
247Sports: TaxSlayer Gator Bowl vs Duke
Athlon Sports: Las Vegas Bowl vs Washington
College Football News: Las Vegas Bowl vs Colorado
College Football Network: Las Vegas Bowl vs USC
Saturday Down South: Music City Bowl vs Michigan
USA Today: Las Vegas Bowl vs USC
Sporting News: Music City Bowl vs Minnesota
The Athletic: Texas Bowl vs TCU
Total count: Las Vegas (5), Music City (3), Gator (3), Texas (1)
With one game remaining, it’s looking like Missouri could be heading to Las Vegas, Music City, or the Gator Bowl. I think Mizzou has had a good enough season to avoid the Liberty or Texas Bowl, but the Citrus Bowl is probably out of the question. The best-case scenario for the Tigers might be the Gator Bowl. Will a win over Arkansas get them there? We’ll see.
