Nicholas Randall has committed and becomes the second known pledge in the 2025 Tiger class. The forward hails from St. Louis and brings a competitive edge.

Randall becomes the second commitment of the 2025 class, joining Aaron Rowe.

The best sport at Mizzou right now? That may very well be volleyball. At 15-5 overall and 6-2 in SEC play, the Tigers come in at No. 24 in the latest RPI rankings and are receiving votes in the latest polls.

#Mizzou Volleyball is ranked 24th in the latest RPI rankings, moving up six spots from 30th after going 2-0 this weekend. This would have them just inside that 6/7 seed line in the NCAA Tournament. The Tigers are one spot behind USC and one ahead of Illinois.@RockMNation pic.twitter.com/UT9yuAHcOM

#Mizzou Volleyball received 19 votes in the @AVCAVolleyball Top 25 poll this week, making them the unofficial 29th-ranked team in the nation. The Tigers are three votes behind Marquette and four votes ahead of Michigan. @RockMNation pic.twitter.com/DuRPKDOyNU

Maria Crownover was also named SEC Setter of the Week after back-to-back 60 assist matches.

Two huge performances on the road. ✈️

Congratulations to Marina Crownover who was named the SEC Setter of the Week after a pair of 60-assist matches!!!

Up next: The Tigers at No. 9 Texas on Friday night (8:00 p.m. CST on the SEC Network)

Yesterday at Rock M and Rock M+

Morning Commute from Josh Matejka: AP poll takes pity on Mizzou, gives them the “atta boy” slot at No. 25

“Hopefully another bye week can help some guys rest up before the final push to get to double-digit wins for a second straight year.”

Mizzou’s College Football Playoff hopes are likely over, but there’s still something to play for heading into the final stretch of the season.

MV3 from Josh Matejka: Finding silver linings after a shutout

“While the defense eventually crumbled after consistent pressure from Alabama, Walker’s early production helped keep the Tigers within shouting distance.”

Despite a poor performance in Tuscaloosa, Johnny Walker Jr. came to play — coming in at No. 1 in our latest MV3 voting.

A Fan’s Notes from Dan Keegan: A Hard Reset in Tuscaloosa

“This upcoming November might be amazing for Mizzou football. Remember, Eli Drinkwitz’s ballclubs have always closed well in real seasons, earning their sixth wins in 2021 and 2022 and storming into the New Year’s Six last fall.”

Mizzou Hoops Player Preview from Matthew Harris and Matt Watkins: Tamar Bates

Player Preview | With an upgraded cast around him, #Mizzou‘s Tamar Bates can spend his senior season maxing out his touches, reaching his defensive potential, and — ideally — elevating the Tigers.

— Matt Harris (@MattJHarris85) October 28, 2024

“Bates has all the makings of a player who can draw NBA interest at year’s end. But I’m willing to wager that the opportunity of putting an exclamation point at the end of his winding road to his collegiate encore will be every bit as meaningful.”

Tamar Bates is our latest Mizzou Hoops Player Preview — who enters his senior year looking to lead the Tigers to a bounce back season.

Mo’s Munday Musings from Chad Moller: Oh, the psychology of a football season

“It seems funny to say that an 8-4 record would be disappointing at Mizzou, but that’s what happens when expectations get raised like they have. It’s a good problem to have generally speaking, but that doesn’t take away the sting for Tiger fans who’d dreamt of seeing their team in the inaugural 12-team CFP.”

Well said from Chad here. An 8-4 record for Mizzou Football doesn’t cut it this year.

SEC Hoops Preview from Sam Snelling: Arkansas Razorbacks

“My Results: Arkansas Razorbacks — 4th in conference, 11-7”

Arkansas is our latest SEC Hoops team preview, where Sam predicts the Razorbacks to go 11-7 and finish fourth in the league.

From Matthew Harris: Four-star forward Nicholas Randall commits to Mizzou

NEWS | #Mizzou scored a pledge from Nicholas Randall, a top-120 prospect, as the second member of its 2025 class.

“Randall’s decision also assures coach Dennis Gates that he’s reinforced depth along the front line and at lead guard. Now, the focus turns entirely to whether MU caps this cycle by holding off Alabama and Cincinnati to win over combo guard Davion Hannah, a top-30 talent who has twice visited Columbia.”

Dennis Gates is starting to get some recruiting momentum going in the 2025 class.

Tobias Ten from Cal Tobias: Tigers in Tuscaloosa

— Cal Tobias (@CalTobiasPhoto) October 28, 2024

“Missouri went down south this week to Tuscaloosa, Ala. (“T-Town,” as locals say) and were soundly defeated. I was there, along with our football writers, as we got to experience Alabama’s homecoming and see the 10th-largest stadium in the world. While the team was less than successful, I like to think I still succeeded on the field. Here’s this week’s Tobias Ten.”

Once again, Cal’s photos were better than the game!

The 2024 Season Preview Magazine is available NOW over at Rockm.plus:

The 2024 Mizzou Football season is one that has been met with as much anticipation as any in recent memory. With Eli Drinkwitz’s program taking a huge step forward in the 2023 season, going 11-2 and securing a Cotton Bowl victory over the Ohio State Buckeyes, there’s a renewed focus on what Missouri can do to put itself in the conversation for a berth in the College Football Playoff.

The digital magazine we present today is 115 pages chalk full of Mizzou Football previewing, scouting, interviewing, and more…

Over at Rock M+: Mizzou vs Oklahoma is a night game, and plenty of basketball discussion.
