The Morning Commute for Thursday, December 26

Welcome to the Morning Commute

Today we’re talking about Mizzou Volleyball.

We hope Mizzou fans had a great Christmas as the holiday season rolls along.

Mizzou Volleyball celebrated Christmas by ending the year ranked No. 19 in the AVCA.

After winning an NCAA Tournament game in Year one to advancing to the Sweet 16 this season, Dawn Sullivan is building something special with this program. And she’s having a heck of an offseason as well with the additions via the transfer portal — so stay up to date with Matthew Gustafson’s coverage on this team.

Things are otherwise pretty quiet around Mizzou Athletics during this holiday break, but women’s basketball is set to return on Sunday afternoon against Jackson State.

Then on Monday we’ll have Mizzou Football’s Music City Bowl vs Iowa in Nashville and Mizzou Hoops’ final non-conference game vs Alabama State.

Plenty of coverage to come the rest of this year and 2025 here at Rock M!

“We’re very grateful for everyone who reads all of our musings and thoughts on all things Mizzou sports, and we hope you’ve enjoyed our company as much as we enjoy yours.”

“Mizzou needed a splash portal add for their quarterback room and they got it. Way to go, Drinkwitz staff!”

Let’s see what Pribula brings to the table. This is an intriguing addition for Mizzou.

“It was a masterful job of Pinkel and staff getting the most out of a team that wasn’t quite as talented across the board as the year before and getting them to coalesce as a unit to overcome early-season adversity and post 11 wins.”

Chad takes a look back at the 2014 season which was a heck of a coaching job by Gary Pinkel.
