Welcome to the Morning Commute

Today we’re talking about Mizzou Football returners.

Back-to-back 10-win seasons can certainly help high school recruiting and transfer portal success.

It also doesn’t hurt your chances of getting players to stick around for one more year.

It will definitely be a new look Mizzou Football team heading into next season, but there will be some significant contributors returning as well.

On New Year’s Eve, Daylan Carnell has announced that he will return to Missouri for his senior season — providing some much-needed experience at the safety position.

At the wide receiver position, the Tigers are losing Luther Burden III, Theo Wease Jr., and Mekhi Miller — but Marquis Johnson has announced that he will return to Mizzou next season.

Johson should be one of Mizzou’s top wide receivers entering next season in his junior year. — as he’s fresh off of an impressive Music City Bowl performance.

2025 should be a fun ride.

For one final time in his career, Brady Cook tops the MV3 from the Music City Bowl win.

“Mizzou got good performances from Tamar Bates, Tony Perkins, and Mark Mitchell.”
