Mizzou is Nashville bound to play Iowa in the Music City Bowl on December 30th.
The Missouri Tigers have been bowl eligible for the fourth consecutive season under head coach Eli Drinkwitz. On this Sunday afternoon, we officially know where the Tigers are heading in the postseason.
While the Tigers didn’t exactly fulfill their College Football Playoff expectations in 2024, they are still heading to a pretty good bowl game after a respectable season.
After finishing with a record of 9-3, the Tigers — ranked No. 19 in the last CFP rankings — have been awarded the TransPerfect Music City Bowl against the Iowa Hawkeyes in Nashville, Tennessee according to multiple reports.

The Hawkeyes come into this matchup with an 8-4 overall record (6-3 Big Ten) under head coach Kirk Ferentz after winning three out of their last four games.
Ironically, this was supposed to be Missouri’s same bowl opponent and matchup in the Tigers’ first season under Eli Drinkwitz, but Mizzou opted out due to COVID in 2020.
Missouri will be looking for back-to-back 10-win seasons for the first time since 2013-2014 and the third time in program history.
Mizzou leads the all-time series 7-6 over Iowa, but the Hawkeyes’ most recent win came in the 27-24 Insight Bowl victory in 2010.
Luther Burden III and Armand Membou are the known opt outs for Mizzou so far since declaring for the NFL Draft.
The Music City Bowl is slated for Monday, December 30th with a 1:30 p.m. CST kick-off on ESPN.
