We take our hot regular season and continue right on into Army/Navy and the first couple of bowls!

Every week, Rock M Nation will post the SEC betting lines for that week’s slate of games. DISCLAIMER: Rock M Nation is not an online gambling operator, nor a gambling site of any kind. Never to lead you astray for long, Best Bets finished the regular season on a strong note, going a perfect 3-0 (4-2 overall) thanks to wins by Boise, Georgia and Oregon in Conference Championship Week. On the regular season, Best Bets finished a quite busty 28-19, while our picks overall finished in the black at 47-43-2. Bottom line: stick with me kid and we’ll make you a star.

The season’s not over yet, and neither are Best Bets as we dip our two into the first two bowl games of the season as well as the Army/Navy game. Let’s do it!

Best Bets

Navy vs. Army: Under 39 total points

The rivalry of all rivalry games, it is nearly impossible to predict how this game will go on a year-in year-out basis. The spread (Army -6.5) makes me nervous because this game is almost always close. That said, Army is the better team so I’d feel more comfortable picking them on the moneyline if it wasn’t so pricey (-245). So instead, we’ll take a look at the O/U and 39 total points seems a bit too high for me seeing as both of these teams spend 12 months game planning on stopping the other team’s triple option attack. I’ll take the under and feel pretty confident about it.

IS4S Salute to Veterans Bowl: South Alabama vs. Western Michigan (+8.5)

Bowl games are always tough to predict, especially one this early in the season between two 6-6 G5 teams that did little to impress all season. For that reason, as well as the fact that South Alabama is losing their leading rusher and all-name team member Fluff Bothwell to the transfer portal, I’m going to see the large-ish spread and take those points.

Scooter’s Coffee Frisco Bowl: Memphis (-2.5) vs. West Virginia

This is really fun, intriguing match up for such an early (Dec. 17!) bowl game. West Virginia fired Neal Brown last week and will be playing under an interim. Memphis is trending in the opposite direction, ranked #25 and looking to finish a 10-2 season on an even higher note. Give me the blue Tigers to win this one fairly comfortably as the Mountaineers don’t have much to play for this year.

That’s all we got for this week since there are only three games total until next week’s Best Bets runs. We’ll see you then. All odds are provided by DraftKings. Which SEC teams will you be taking this week against the spread?
